How Much Tai Chi
At this time, there has not been enough evidence to suggest the optimal amount of Tai Chi that is necessary in
order to enjoy the many benefits associated with it.
There have been studies which have shown that benefits can be enjoyed with only one hour per week, although most
people will find that two or three times per week provide a greater level of benefits.
This is especially true in the beginning due to the fact that there is much to learn during this phase.
Many instructional classes last about 12 weeks, which will give you ample time to determine whether Tai Chi is
right for you, but you should keep in mind that in order to become proficient at Tai Chi, you should give it at
least one year.
When you begin practicing Tai Chi, it is important for you to gauge your progress. Most of the beginning
programs will last around twelve weeks.
Instruction is typically provided one or two times per week, along with practice at home. By the end of the
instruction period, you should have had ample time to determine whether you are enjoying Tai Chi and also to notice
some positive physical and psychological changes.
